October Half Term Soccer School & Tournament

he Academy of Sport (East London) in conjunction with Sports Club (UK) Ltd, held its first soccer school at North Middlesex Cricket Club over the half term.

Regardless of the wind & rain, all participants took part with great enthusiasm. Leslie Fevrier, Head Coach at the Academy and THFC scout said he was very impressed with high standard of play, sportsmanship & team spirit. He along with Tottenham Youth Academy coaches, Chris Ramsey & Ossie Aibangee definitely spotted some star football players in the making. Mike McFarlane (OBE) also held Fitness & Flexibility sessions from UK Athletics.

Thankfully, the weather turned good for the tournament on Saturday. Once again with lots of good football being played, excellent sportsmanship & lots of vocal support from the parents.

All participants received medals from Lianne Sanderson of Arsenal & England Ladies, with special awards given for Junior & Senior Players of the Week & Junior & Senior Players of the Tournament.

Steve Young, Managing Director of Sports Club (UK) Ltd said he was very pleased & impressed with the high standard of coaching & the positive attitude of all who took part and was looking forward to the next soccer school, taking place over the Christmas School break.
