CROSS BOROUGH SEVEN A SIDE FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT 2008 Hackney Teams Play Offs Last month, The Academy of Sport (East London) held the Third Cross Borough Tournament. The Hackney play offs took part at Hackney Marshes. With many Hackney primary schools taking part and over 150 children participating. The Academy coaches were very impressed with the high standard of play, competitiveness & sportsmanship. Highlights were some spectacular tackles and goals, luckily no injuries were sustained. Thankfully the weather held good all week, especially for the final, with last year’s winners Homeleigh playing against St Mathias. Homeleigh won again for the second year running. Montell for Homeleigh & Gianni for St Pauls & St Michaels were both, presented with Players of The Tournament. A big thank you to all Managers, Parents & Coaching Staff for their support. We would like to thank all the schools that took part in making a very successful & enjoyable tournament and will be back next year bigger & better. The final will be held in the coming weeks at Tottenham Hotspurs Training Ground
